Description: The new 38SN-EXT tool was developed to assist installers in the connection
of any 3/8” NPS(F) swivel nut fitting or hose connector to a 3/8” NPS(M) connection point. Paint station designs are more compact and more densely packed at the booth side that creates problems of access to the connection points. This tool alleviates the need to get your hand into the area and attempt to turn a wrench to complete the connection. With the 38SN-EXT the connection can be made with the 12-16” ratchet style extension tool to move your installation activity away from the confluence of hoses. To use this tool, place the stationary 7/8” hex body on the ball valve end you are connecting to, and then nest the hose and hose connection into the internal socket and drive it down to the connection point. Using a customer supplied 1/2” ratchet, tighten the hose connector while stabilizing the ball valve outer housing to prevent rotating the ball valve during hose connector installation. Generally tighten to 30-35 ft/lbs to insure long term leak free connection.
